    ** Unfortunately, tickets will not be available to general members of the public. However, current Cambridge students, fellows, staff and alumni may purchase tickets on behalf of their guests not affiliated with the University.

    *** The resale or purchase of tickets above the cost price is strictly forbidden. If you don’t want the ticket anymore, you can transfer this ticket to others following the name-changing procedure. You may find the details of our name-changing policy in the FAQ section here.

Our Commitment to Widening Participation

At this year’s May Ball, we’re dedicated to making this magical night more accessible than ever! We believe that everyone should have the chance to experience the wonder of our event, and that’s why we’ve introduced our widening-participation strategy in 4 aspects!

Building on the transformative work of the 2023 Committee, we are thrilled to announce an expanded bursary ticket scheme for this year’s May Ball! Please refer to the table below for more details！

Between £2000 and £3500 50%

* The Bursary Scheme will be available for Corpus Students only.

** Bursary tickets will continue to be available for one ticket per eligible student, but the discount will not be applied to the £25 add-on.

***The process is completely anonymous: no committee member will have access to the information, and only the corresponding college officers will be informed. The discount will be automatically applied on the college bill.

To encourage staff members’ participation, we are pleased to offer all staff at Corpus Christi College a 35% discount on the base ticket price, to be applied to up to one guest ticket! Remember, May Ball is a celebration for everyone—not just students. Your presence is an important part of what makes our May Ball a true celebration of our shared community!

While black tie dress is a quintessential part of what makes a traditional Cambridge May Ball, we’re committed to making it more inclusive. Our dress code welcomes any reasonable interpretation of black tie, and we continue to celebrate the beauty of national dress.

To ensure everyone can shine on the night, budget-friendly Ball attire rentals and clothes swap events will be available. Step into the evening with confidence and style—your way!

We are proud to ensure that this year’s May Ball is a celebration for all! Guests can look forward to a diverse array of dining options, including Halal, Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly offerings, thoughtfully prepared to cater to your needs. Non-alcoholic drinks will be readily available, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the festivities.

To further enrich the evening, the programme may feature performances celebrating a vibrant variety of cultures—bringing a global flair to an unforgettable night.
